Joan Konner '61
Later to become dean of the Journalism School, Joan Konner produced a Bill Moyers documentary for PBS, “The Secret Government: The Constitution in Crisis,” which chillingly detailed a secret federal network (exposed to the public through Oliver North and the Iran-Contra scandal) that pursued objectives outside the scrutiny of the American democratic process. The film gained a new following in the aftermath of 9/11.
